Greetings Summer-timers,
I have a few announcements for the next month:
° I’m now subbing at Tejas Yoga in the south loop! A really lovely place to work on your yoga practice, founded by Jim Bennitt and James Tennant – two great guys you should get to know and learn from.
- Starting Thursdays for the next month, I’ll be teaching an “early bird” class from 7-8am for the next four weeks: July 26th-August 16th. If you live or work near the south side or downtown, this is a nice way to start your day and still have time to freshen up before work. 1133 South Wabash – Just North of the Trader Joe’s and near the Red/Orange/Green line EL stop at Roosevelt.
Take a peak at their schedule to look for a few other dates in the upcoming weeks I’ll be subbing at Tejas.
° For a special treat, on Saturday August 11th, myself and fellow Moksha teacher Kristin Urbanus will be leading a Vedic inspired fire ceremony – also called Agni Hotra. Vedic you say? Of, or coming from the Vedas, meaning: “knowledge, wisdom, or to know.” This practice is a ritual for the healing and purification of the self and the surrounding atmosphere . All are welcome to come for a light asana/meditation practice beforehand, then we will gather around a small fire to do some chanting in Sanskrit and everyone will get a chance to make their offering into the fire. This will happen just before sunset.
This is something you will want to experience, as words can only translate so much. I hope to see you there! 6:30p-8:15p @ Moksha Yoga Riverwest – 700 N. Carpenter
